DeKalb GOP Hosts Meet and Greet for Wendy Ahrenkiel, Georgia State House District 52 Nominee

Wendy Ahrenkiel (R-Brookhaven) the nominee for Georgia State House District 52, for whom the DeKalb County Republican Party hosted a Meet and Greet event on Friday.
Ahrenkiel’s opponent in the election is Shea Roberts (D) the incumbent House Rep. for District 52.
“I am proud to support Wendy Ahrenkiel who has a clear vision for DeKalb and District 52! #VoteDeKalbRed” Millum said on Friday.
Ahrenkiel currently serves as a member on the board of the Georgia Network to End Sexual Assault, in addition to her service on the Youth Men’s Service League.
Additionally, Ahrenkiel has served with the Agape Center, the Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta, and Buckhead Christian Ministries.
Wendy is a precinct and county committee member of the DeKalb GOP and is originally from Daphne, Alabama.
Ahrenkiel is an alumna of Christian Brothers University where she earned a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration.
She lives with her two sons, Byrne and Porter, in Brookhaven, and the family are members of the Peachtree Road United Methodist Church.
Ahrenkiel states that she “strongly supports [one’s] choice in making personal medical decisions.”
“From the foods we put in our bodies to the medications we decide to take, no government should override our personal freedom,” Ahrenkiel said in a statement on her campaign website.
Economy
“Regardless of your income, educational level, or even your political [beliefs], inflation is hurting everyone. [I know] that economic recovery can only happen through strong legislation to promote energy independence, eliminate state taxes, and reduce regulations,” Ahrenkiel said.
Women’s Sports
“[I support] promoting diversity, minorities, and advocates for women’s and girls’ rights. Having attended college on an athletic scholarship, [I] know first-hand the [effects] the inclusion of biological males would have on women in sports,” Ahrenkiel said.
Public Safety
“Public safety concerns are not limited to the problems at the border,” Ahrenkiel said
“We need more resources for school safety, more robust training for mental health crises, and a better working partnership with local law enforcement,” Ahrenkiel said.
“Most especially, [I support] the need for better pay, benefits and training for the law enforcement officers who are on the front lines protecting our communities and keeping our families safe,” Ahrenkiel said.
She states she “is committed to work with law enforcement and legislators alike to hold bad actors accountable and pass legislation that will eradicate this issue, as well as protect the victims.”
DeKalb County GOP Chair Marci McCarthy was present at the Meet and Greet for Ahrenkiel.

Human Trafficking
“Atlanta is one of the top 14 cities with high rates of human trafficking. Wendy is committed to work with law enforcement and legislators alike to hold bad actors accountable and pass legislation that will eradicate this issue as well as protect the victims,” Ahrenkiel stated.
